Exciting things have happenned. Just out of the blue, we've found a long-lost relative we are eager to meet!
I'm referring to Jessica Grace, my brother-in-law's daughter of 14 years, whom he's never met.

Yes, that's her with her mother. Sad to say, those are just the pictures we have of Jessica for now but her mother hopefully will give us more.
In my hubby's family, we sometimes wished we've known this little girl. We did not have a name or a picture. As for myself, I so wanted to get a glimpse of her but I'm usually always the last. I've heard through the years that passed that her mother was in town (she's now residing in Singapore). I heard too that the little girl is studying in a private school here. But no one among my in-laws attempted to find her after one or two years of trying. Jessica's mother has vowed never to show the child to her father or family. It was kind of a vow required by her aunts and uncles.
Years passed, here she is and is now 14. Intelligent, outgoing and so pretty!
It was just this past year that she inquired of her father. This time her mother can no longer evade her questions. So finally she told her, and goodness, Jessica confessed that she somehow knew because of the people in the community. After all, we live in a closely-knit community that people easily know each other if not by face, then by name. She has heard from teachers at our high school who comment that she reminds them of J*** and S*****. Surprising too, her godmother who used to be our neighbor gave her bits of news. We never suspected!
It's very timely that she showed up, as I was updating the list of our family tree and muttered to myself, if only I knew Malou's last name or at least give a name to this little girl! Then voila! a week later, we saw them at the town market. This time, too, her mother approached us and willingly introduced Jessica to us. Before we parted, I (always the filekeeper) -asked of their contact number.
Now here's how their part of the family tree looks: see the big picture here

I sometimes wish we can easily reach John, but he is really missing. Relocated to someplace where we cannot reach him nor his family. He used to reside in Ilocos but now we have no idea where they are. As my brother- and sister-in-laws would say, it's better not to get in touch with him yet and easier for everyone's nerves. Because when we do - exciting or rattling things just happen. Let me describe John in 2 songs: he's Jim in Bon Jovi's "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" and he's the guy described in Eagle's "Take It Easy".
Still I have not said a word about this yet in my blog, but yes, on my hubby's side of the family, life is simply life!

Still we miss him at times. When he was younger he lived with us at our Dagupan residence. This was in 1992. He was close to our eldest. He took care of our eldest most of the time then. J***'s a laidback person, cracks hilarious jokes, gives "words of wisdom" to his nephews. He's also a jack-of-all-trades type so when we need to get a job done, he's sure to assist. As he got older, he became this hard-working and responsible father towards his children - I refer to his daughters from two relationships Gabrielle in 2000 and the other two at present.
That is what we tell Jessica, the good qualities of her father. We share all the nice memories we have of John. We also show her all of the pictures - mostly Christmas pictures we still have of John from 1992-94, about the time her mother and father were still together. (And we were surprised to find a picture of her mother in the background!)

Nanay Lemon Law
Nanay Lemon Law - because she falls short of everyone's expectations. A loving person, very neat, pretty, sensible, frugal, great housekeeper, reliable nanny to employers...
Nanay Lemon Law- because lemons are sour and in the Pinoy lingo, she is what we call "may asim pa" and lemons have that all-around purpose just as she is.
Nanay Lemon Law- because the writer butterfly is actually an in-law. Nanay + Lemon +Law.
Nanay Lemon Law - repeatedly fails to meet everyone's expectations and frequently fails to deliver a promise. She has no form of guarantee, sad to say. Her warranty expires in 2 weeks, that's how long she can be good before she moves on to another personality or before she gets cornered, which ever comes first.
She is Joker in Batman. She is a definition of evil. She scams and swindles anyone - her close relatives' friends up to the 3rd degree and new acquaintances and anything just to have fun and doesn’t care if she gets killed herself because it will cause anarchy and chaos and that’s her goal in life. She wants money or power, he just wants to see everyone around him in pain and agony. He can do anything he wants because he has the will to, because he’s not afraid of pain, death or punishment. It’s my believe that fear itself isn’t afraid of anything.
First of all, one quote says it all, “I believe…whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you…stranger.”
Nanay Lemon Law, born March 15, 1943, from Mountain Province, T*****. Parents are S***** and Pacita D**** now residents of California USA. She was married to Tatay Ruby of same town but we were separated in 1978-79. Had six children from that marriage. Her first husband is supposedly now residing in Canada or Indonesia. In 1981 or 82, worked as a nanny and I kidnapped a baby ( I dont know the names of my employer/ parents of the baby)
A certain Atty. A*** of Baguio City near Camp dangwa knows of this and know her employers well. But the truth about the events in 1981-82, she took the baby boy to Brgy. Umanday, Bugallon, Pangasinan to Ernesto Dela Cruz, here lover, where she resided. She presented the baby boy as their our child but the man did not believe and rejected them both. Perhaps for lack of any my option she still left the baby boy there. The baby boy is named Erickson dela Cruz now. He grew up with the family in Umanday Bugallon. He was a consistent honor student at the elementary school where he attended. Adding more to my crime is that Nanay Lemon Law took her youngest daughter Caregiver Lady from previous marriage and left her there too with the baby boy. The girl was reportedly missing and was only found after a few years.Erickson is possibly now a grown up married man. Hopefully he can still be located.
The names she used over the years were:
HELEN ASTUDILLO in 1992-93. During this time I worked at Benson Apartelle, San Juan, Metro Manila
HELEN D****** in 1993-94. She worked abroad in Lebanon this time and also married a Lebanese national. In 1995, she went back home to the Philippines with her Lebanese husband. my name was changed to Helen Juliet D***** and my married name from the Lebanese. Between 1996-1998, she worked in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as Juliet D*****. She lived with a Filipino worker named Froilan Alega. He worked under a company called PREMCO Bin Ladin. They were married to authorities there.
Last we've heard of her was in 2006, when she was an ukay-ukay clothing seller (she got those from a mere acquainatance she found at the Victory Bus Station in Cubao.
And this person's niece and acquaintance she has swindled too by promising them employment abroad.
Last we've seen of her, she had this NBI claim stub in her bag (yes, we rummage through her belongings) Details: O.R. 19108200; March 15-06; 115.00; Quezon City; R 03020620773. This will maybe give us all a clue on what name she is holding now
