The first version as told by a reliable source, that same piece of jewelry in a 4 x 4 box was just lying around in Pitt's house. An old lady - possibly Nanay Apolonia (Tatay Ruby's second wife) - took the box with her.

The other version came from Pitt herself when questioned : that Son and her went to a local mall on that day August 19, right after they redeemed the jewelry from Caregiver Lady's attorney. Allegedly, the jewelry was pick-pocketed from her shoulder bag. Yes! that jewelry in a 4 inch by 4 inch box was stolen from her bag. But, mind you, her wallet was still left there and untouched. How so?

Now the family investigation begins, how did Pitt lose the jewelry? Where is the police blotter? What really happened to the jewelry, was it lost, was it pawned or was it sold for less of it's value?


Sadly, all I have is this reminder not to trust too much and to always cover your bases with verified papers to support a claim. This video reminds me of the habits of certain characters in our family :( August 28 Addendum: Allegedly, the jewelry case was stolen inside the Ladies Restroom in a local mall. It happened when Son separated from her mom, High Finance Woman, when she went to the loo and it was there that her bag was slashed. Jewelry case was gone, but her wallet remained. That same day was their schedule to go visit Caregiver Lady's friend's house in the nearby village. Still not realizing her bag was slashed, High Finance Woman and Son took a public utility jeep going to the village. When they arrived at Caregiver Lady's friend's house, they stayed and chatted for two hours from 3 to 5 pm. Towards the end, when Caregiver Lady's friend asked regarding packages to send, "Is this all you're going to send for Caregiver Lady?" High Finance Woman was dumbfounded and began crying that her bag was slashed and the jewelry is missing. Caregiver Lady's friend insisted High Finance Woman call Caregiver Lady right away but High Finance Woman replied, "No need, it's already way past bedtime in Vancouver. I should not wake her up." Just that, no reports or anything since that fateful day of August 19. Questions: How did High Finance Woman and Son pay for their fare without realizing the jewelry case was missing? Why did it take her longer to report back to Caregiver Lady of this important matter?
